Dawit Dangiso – Shantawene Farm, Sidama Bensa, Ethiopia
Dawit grows a mix of local landraces and JARC coffee varieties on his family farm in Sidama Bensa. Inherited in the 1990s, the farm is now supported by his two adult children.

Using sustainable agroforestry, Dawit grows coffee alongside enset, fruit trees, and legumes, creating a naturally organic system. He handpicks ripe cherries, sun-dries them on raised beds for 2–3 weeks, then stores them on-farm for about 5 months before dry milling.
